GRASSES WORKSHOP – Kelowna Garden Club memers only.
This is a workshop where participants learn about the diversity of grasses which can be used in Okanagan gardens. The workshop focuses on how to properly collect and plant grasses. Rachel Fleming is well known as one of the most knowledgeable master gardeners in the Okanagan.
Free for Members. Max. 20 participants. Location: Private home

GRAPEVINE BASKET AND SPHERE WEAVING WORKSHOP - Kelowna Garden Club memers only
Annabel Stanley offers a fun and creative day of weaving baskets or spheres from locally foraged materials that grow here in the Okanagan. They include Willow, Dogwood, Alder, Grape vines, grasses, moss and other “foraged finds”.
The workshops are held in her studio in West Kelowna overlooking her vineyard, the Okanagan Valley and towards the surrounding mountains including Big White Mountain.
Wear sunscreen, gardening gloves and a hat or warm clothing if the weather is changeable.
Fees include all materials, just bring your lunch.

BYLANDS GREENHOUSE TOUR
and Off the Grid Winery Visit - Kelowna Garden Club memers only
Come and Celebrate July 4th with a Greenhouse Tour conducted by Maria Byland, and then off to a winery & Food truck.
See the inner workings of a local greenhouse and then visit a family owned and operated permaculture winery. Taste award winning wines in their straw bale, solar powered tasting room. Shop their local artisan gift shop. Visit the goats on the roof as well as sheep, chickens & other farm animals. Eat at the local & artisan pizzeria food truck. See how their passion for sustainability is crafted into everything they do.
Cost: Wine tasting and lunch. Carpool $

LINDEN GARDENS TOUR, KALEDEN
(plus Kraze Legz Winery and Doug’s Homestead Butcher) - Kelowna Garden Club memers only
Experience the natural beauty of Linden Gardens. The café can have a single group up to 75 people.
Followed by a visit to Krazy Legz Winery perched above Skaha Lake, in Kaleden. This is a small, family-owned boutique winery celebrated for a one-of-a-kind location and microclimate.
Then off to Doug’s Homestead Butcher. Home of the World Famous Pepperoni and Beef Jerky. Located at 224 Highway 97, Kaleden.
Remember while you're driving through to keep your eyes open, because if you blink and find yourself in Penticton, you missed it.
Cost for a guided tour of the garden $10.00 / person. Carpool $
Friday, Sept 29, Meet in Lumby at 9AM.
MUSHROOM FORAGING
Tour completes at Mabel Lake area by 4PM. Participants may leave early if they choose. Approx. 1 hr drive from Kelowna to Lumby, and approx. 1.5 hrs drive from Mabel Lake to Kelowna.
We will stop at 2-3 different locations (TBD - depending on rainfall), going for a short walk on reasonably good footing at each location. Max. distance walked in the day is approximately 2km, and there are options to do less.
For transportation, we encourage people to carpool as best they can so that our 'convoy' isn't too huge.
Each participant can register separately by emailing their request to admin@elementsadventures.com and requesting a registration form.

Cost: special price for KGC members, $65+gst per person, up until Aug. 15.
After August 15 we will open up registration to the general public (if there is still room on the tour - max. 18 people), and the price will revert back to the regular price of $75+gst pp.
